"Open Door" for parents, educators and social workers
Educo
Center
opened
doors
for
free
visits
of
parents,
educators
and
social
workers. They will be able to share their problems, to receive advice and to
be directed to specific organizations and institutions, if needed.
The Center will carry out seminars on different topics connected with
raising and educating children and teenagers. On the seminars participants
will be introduced to the basic methods and approaches used by Educo during
the courses and to the results of the post course work.

Potential Development offer “Adventure for Adults” training program.
You are looking

The program offers the opportunity of acquiring basic skills that have
wholesome effect on your relations with other people. Using simulations of
real life moments, game techniques and solution-directed strategies, we add
to our lives:
As a result of that:

We take decisions with ease;

We settle conflicts positively;

We react wisely in crisis situations.
Thus we support our children’s achievements acquired during their Educo
adventure and facilitate the integration of their new positive experience in
the family environment.
The courses are organized in 12 subject modules – each lasting one day –
that take about six months.
The number of participants is limited to 20-25.

Opening
We
introduce ourselves,
meet
one another and the instructors. Get to know the program, the general ideas
and the way of work. The meeting is aimed at creating an atmosphere of trust
and comfort.
˛˛. Intercourse
We
all know how to talk. But do we know how to converse? And to converse in such
a way that we could achieve our goals?
Here we reconsider our skills to converse and our reactions to the words of
others (children, partners, etc.). We acquire specific dialogue skills that
would bring us nearer to fulfilling our wishes, without getting on our
nerves.

Feedback
That
day we pay attention to
one very special part
of our ability to
converse. Understanding and applying this part in the
daily round is closely connected with our personal development, the
successful sense of the direction of a dialogue and our relations with other
people.

Confidence and Responsibility
Touching on the idea of confidence
in oneself and in other people - confidence in one’s own potentialities
and in the support of other people.
Thus we develop our ability to delegate and allocate responsibilities to
ensure peace and spare time for ourselves.

The Family Orchestra
The
module is focused on
fine tuning the relations within the
family - the feeling of belonging, connectedness and
harmony.
We would try to answer the question how when setting the common goals to
show consideration for the personal ones. How to allocate our roles and
tasks, that after all everyone is contented.

The Tango of Relations – Lead and Follow
Sometimes we
have to take the
helm and sometimes we
have to follow
the other person, if do not want to fight between. The accent that day is to
become aware of which attitude works better at a moment.
V˛I. Living
as
in
a
Movie
- Games
and
Roles
In
our lives we play
different roles – of a
parent, wife/husband,
professional,
good man, boss,
subordinate, etc. Moreover each role involves
certain playing. That day we deal with identifying the personal roles and
the games we play, their effectiveness, use and possible harms; we deal with
experimenting new roles.

Parent – Adult – Child
That
day is devoted to
finding which of our
parents’ upbringing methods we
have carried into our families. We reconsider which
of them we want to keep and which not. How to use our experience so far,
that now with the minds and skills of adults, to make the change possible
– this is the time for the adults in ourselves. How much time in our lives
do we leave for joy, spontaneity and playfulness – qualities that are
characteristic of every child, and of what we have been. We will spend some
time for the children in us.

Decisions
That
day we will focus on
how:

We make our personal choices;

We take decision within a group;

Follow the decisions we have taken;

To achieve our goals.

Settling Conflicts
There is no development
without conflict. The question is how to use these conflicts as a
source of personal strength and chance for growth without ruining our
relations. We will analyze effectively the reasons for the occurrence of
conflicts and the strategies for their settlement.

Weekend in the Mountain
Meeting a
real Educo challenge. Probably we may
find out what makes ascending a mountain, keeping family relations and
bringing up children resemble each other.
Ő˛˛. Closing and Summary of the Experience
Finally we will direct our attention to the future – how to
apply our new experience in the daily round, what difficulties we might met
and how to overcome them.
